Islamic Financial Management Program Hosts Entrepreneurship Webinar Series

On Monday and Tuesday, December 20 and 21, 2021, the Islamic Financial Management (IFM) program at the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI), UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, conducted an Entrepreneurship Webinar Series for students of the 2018 and 2019 cohorts. The event spanned two days, from Monday at 08:00 AM to Tuesday at 05:00 PM. The webinar featured eight speakers, including Mr. Warsis Mawardi, S. HI, Director of Mawardi Institute and Mawardi Group; Mrs. Septy Setia Nugraha, MM, Business Service at PT Mandiri Taspen, Tbk; Mr. Ridho Satrio Hutomo, S. IP, Owner of Bina Printing DTF; Mrs. Lu'liyatul Mutmainah, M. Si, from Waqf Center Indonesian Development & Studies; Mr. Silvester Alan Alexander, SE, Finance and Accounting at Honda Pekalongan Motors; Mr. Gilang Nazar Aldiansayah, S. Kom, Digital Marketer, and Owner of Saeniki Digital Agency; Dr. Lukman Hamdani from the Master's Program in Management at Universitas Yarsi and Yarsi Wakaf Institute; and Mrs. Imas Rohimah, M. Pd, Owner of Hizaki Wedding Planner.
The webinar was moderated by four IFM program lecturers: Mrs. Hilmy Baroroh, MEK; Mr. Rizaldi Yusfiarto, MM; Mrs. Ratna Sofiana, M. SI; and Mr. Furqonul Haq, MEI. The event took place online via the Zoom application, with 196 participants comprising students from the 2018 and 2019 cohorts in the IFM program.
On the first day, the opening speech was delivered by Mr. Dr. M. Yazid Afandi, M.Ag, emphasizing the webinar's alignment with the IFM program's goal to produce graduates who will become Islamic entrepreneurs. The first session included two speakers: Mr. Ridho Satrio Hutomo, S. IP, who discussed "Business Plan," and Mrs. Septy Setia Nugraha, MM, who covered "Business Service Quality." After their presentations, a Q&A session took place, followed by a second session in the afternoon.
The second session on the first day featured Mrs. Lu'liyatul Mutmainah, M. Si, discussing "Waqf Productive," and Dr. Lukman Hamdani, who addressed the "Urgency of Zakat for Small Business Development." Both sessions ran in parallel, followed by a Q&A session that concluded at 05:00 PM.
On the second day, the event comprised two sessions. In the first session, Mrs. Imas Rohimah, M. Pd, discussed "Motivation to Start Sharia Business," and Mr. Warsis Mawardi, S. HI, talked about "Business Canvas." The second session included Mr. Silvester Alan Alexander, SE, discussing "Business Finance," and Mr. Gilang Nazar Aldiansayah, S. Kom, covering "Digital and Internet Marketing." Both sessions ran concurrently, followed by a Q&A session and concluded at 05:00 PM.
Throughout the event, participants displayed great enthusiasm, actively engaging in each session by asking questions and seeking entrepreneurship advice from the speakers. The goal of the webinar was to transform the participants' enthusiasm into a commitment to becoming Islamic entrepreneurs in the future.
