International Intellectual Conference (IIC), Research and Education Collaboration between Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM Shah Alam) and Islamic Financial Management

Shah Alam, January 20, 2025 – The International Lecturer Mobility Program (ILMA) delegation from the Sharia Financial Management Program (MKS) arrived at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 07:00 WIB. The delegation was warmly welcomed by lecturers from the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS) at UiTM Shah Alam, Malaysia.
The series of events commenced with a welcoming session, followed by the opening of the International Intellectual Conference. A warm welcome was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mohd Afandi Mat Rani, Dean of the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies, expressing his respect and joy at the MKS delegation’s visit. He also reaffirmed UiTM's commitment to strengthening collaboration in teaching and research. Meanwhile, Dr. Darmawan, S.Pd., M.A.B., Head of the Sharia Financial Management Study Program, expressed deep appreciation for the exceptional reception. In his remarks, he emphasized a strong desire to promptly realize strategic collaboration between UiTM and MKS, with a target commencement date of February 2025.
At the event, two MKS lecturers, Mrs. Sunarsih, S.E., M.Si., and Mr. Izra Berakon, M.Sc., presented as speakers at the international conference themed "International Intellectual Conference (IIC): Fostering Collaborative Learning, Bridging Nations”. The event, organized by ACIS UiTM, was specifically designed to welcome the MKS delegation. During the presentation session, the two lecturers shared their research findings and interacted with academics from various countries, including UiTM lecturers participating in the conference.
Through this discussion and international conference, it is hoped that a mutually beneficial collaborative relationship will be established between UiTM and the Islamic Financial Management Study Program, FEBI, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. This collaboration is expected to strengthen the position of both universities as leading educational institutions, both nationally and internationally. May this noble goal be realized. Ameen.
