Islamic Financial Management Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Holds International Lecture on Cash Flow Analysis with UiTM Malaysia Academic

Yogyakarta, October 12, 2026. The Islamic Financial Management Study Program (MKS), Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI), UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, once again held an International Lecture (Collaborative Teaching) on Monday (October 12, 2026). The event featured Dr. Mohd Asyraf bin Yusof, a lecturer at the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sarawak, Malaysia, as the speaker.

The event, held online via Zoom, covered the topic of Cash Flow Analysis in the Financial Statement Analysis course, under the guidance of MKS lecturer Ibu Hilmy Baroroh, S.E.I., M.E.K. The international lecture is part of the MKS Study Program’s efforts to broaden students’ academic insight, particularly regarding financial statement analysis and its application in financial decision-making.

In his presentation, Dr. Mohd Asyraf bin Yusof discussed cash flow analysis as a key part of understanding an entity’s financial condition. Cash flow analysis helps identify an entity’s ability to generate and manage cash, meet its financial obligations, and sustain its operational activities. This understanding provides students with a strong foundation for more comprehensive financial analysis.

The learning atmosphere was interactive, and at the end of the session, students took a quiz using the Kahoot! platform titled “Kuiz Aliran Tunai & Arus Kas Perniagaan” (Cash Flow Quiz and Business Cash Flow). The activity tested students’ understanding of cash flow concepts and their application in a business context while encouraging active participation throughout the learning process.

This International Lecture also reflects international academic collaboration between UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta and Universiti Teknologi MARA Sarawak, Malaysia. Through the collaborative teaching program, students had the opportunity to learn from international scholars' academic perspectives and broaden their understanding of financial analysis practices within a wider academic environment.

Through this event, the Islamic Financial Management Study Program of FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta aims to continue strengthening learning quality, expanding its international academic network, and improving students’ competence in Islamic financial management. The event also reflects the study program’s commitment to delivering adaptive, collaborative learning oriented toward developing global competencies.
