Yogyakarta, May 19, 2025 — As part of the series of activities for The 1st International Student Conference on Islamic Financial Management for Students (ICIFiMS), the Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business (FEBI) UIN Sunan Kalijaga held a special welcoming event entitled “Welcoming Delegates”. This event was intended for delegates from the Academy of Contemporary Islamic Studies (ACIS), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia, who participated in the international forum.

The welcoming event took place warmly on Monday evening, May 19, 2025, at 19.30–20.30 WIB, at the West Wing Atrium, 1st Floor, FEBI Building. Starting with a dinner session together, this activity created an atmosphere of familiarity and friendship between the host and foreign delegates. The MCs Fahmi Firmansyah and Diva Aulia Putri Hanafi opened the official session with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by an acoustic performance of Siti Nurhaliza's classical songs by Nadina Sri Halimah, S.E., which further enlivened the atmosphere.

The welcoming speech was delivered by Dr. Muhammad Hamizan Abd Hamid representing the ACIS UiTM delegation and Prof. Dr. Misnen Ardiansyah, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., ACPA as the Dean of FEBI UIN Sunan Kalijaga. The peak of the event was marked by the symbolic beating of the gong as a form of opening the collaboration between institutions. The activity was closed with a prayer led by Dr. K.H. M. Yazid Affandi, Vice Dean II of FEBI. This event not only marked the beginning of strategic international cooperation, but also strengthened academic, cultural, and brotherhood relations between UIN Sunan Kalijaga and UiTM Malaysia.
