Students from the Sharia Financial Management Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, achieved an extraordinary feat in an international competition by winning the "1st Winner of International Business Innovation Work" award at the International Olympiad on Islamic Economics and Business (IOSIE) 2024, held at IAIN Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, and organized by the Association of Islamic Economics and Business Faculties (AFEBIS).
The representative team from this study program, consisting of Muhammad Rafi Alfiansyah (Sharia Banking), Ikhcan Dwi Cahyono, and Fauziana Ulfika Hidayah (Sharia Financial Management), presented an innovative project titled “Hi-Nature as an Eco-Enzyme-Based Organic Soap Innovation Toward a Healthy Indonesia.” They were mentored by Anniza Citra Prajasari, SE.I., M.A., a lecturer in the Study Program.
This innovation stems from an awareness of the low level of management of organic waste, which holds no economic value, as well as the need for innovative products for skin health. Support from web-based activities also plays a crucial role in the process of establishing a circular economy. This entire initiative underscores the commitment of the academic community of the Sharia Financial Management Study Program to deliver tangible solutions that not only prioritize health and environmental sustainability but also enhance the overall community well-being.
