The collaboration between lecturers and students from the Sharia Financial Management Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Economics and Business, UIN Sunan Kalijaga, has once again achieved remarkable success in an international competition. This time, they secured the “Second and Third Best Papers” awards at the East Java Economic Forum 2024. Two collaborative research papers presented by the team received best paper awards in two categories: “General Paper” and “Undergraduate Student.”
The delegation team for this event consisted of lecturer Rizaldi Yusfiarto, M.M. and students Annes Nisrina Khoirunnisa, Moh Shadam Taqiyyuddin Azka, and Ahmad Febriyanto. Their research papers, titled “Transition Strategies of Green MSMEs: A Sequential Explanatory Design Mixed Method Analysis” and “From Cash to Central Bank Digital Currency: Can Gen Z Adopt It?”, explored environmental issues among MSMEs and the adoption of Central Bank Digital Currency among Generation Z.
This outstanding achievement demonstrates the students’ exceptional contributions to understanding and addressing future economic and digital challenges. They are not only participants but also agents of change, strengthening the role of MSMEs and the younger generation in Indonesia's economic growth. The team provided inspiring insights and direction for sustainable digital transformation, with the ultimate goal of realizing the Golden Indonesia 2025 vision. Their success demonstrates a commitment to pioneering digital transformation for a better future.
